A2 - Preparation:Package comes with an installation kit including:
*Wet wipe (alcohol prep pad)
*Dry wipe (microfiber cloth)
*Dust removal stickers
*Possibly a squeegee (for removing bubbles)
*Choose an installation environment: Find a clean, dust-free environment to perform the installation, avoiding dust particles from sticking to the screen.
#Installation Steps:
1. Enable "Screen Clean Mode":
*Tap the "Car" icon at the bottom of your Tesla's screen.
*Select the "Service" tab.
*Tap to enable "Screen Clean Mode." The screen will now be locked to prevent accidental touches.
2. Clean the screen:
*Use the provided wet wipe (alcohol prep pad) to carefully wipe the Tesla's screen, removing fingerprints, oil, and dust. Ensure the entire screen is cleaned.
*Wait for the alcohol on the screen to evaporate and dry completely.
3. Dry the screen:
*Use the provided dry wipe (microfiber cloth) to thoroughly dry the screen, ensuring there are no water marks or residue left.
4. Remove dust:
*Carefully inspect the screen for any remaining tiny dust particles.
*Use the provided dust removal stickers to gently stick onto any dust particles and then lift them off. Repeat this step until there is no dust left on the screen. This is a crucial step, as any tiny dust will cause bubbles.
5. Align the screen protector:
*Peel off the protective film from the back of the screen protector. Be careful not to touch the adhesive side.
*Carefully align the screen protector with the edges and any cutouts (e.g., for the camera or sensors) on your Tesla's screen. Ensure the screen protector is perfectly aligned.
6. Apply the screen protector:
*Once the screen protector is perfectly aligned, gently place one end down and allow it to naturally adhere to the screen.
*If the screen protector is large, you can gently press down in the middle to allow it to gradually adhere outwards.
7. Remove bubbles:
*If any air bubbles appear under the screen protector, use the provided squeegee or a clean credit card, etc., to gently push the bubbles towards the edges of the screen.
*For stubborn small bubbles, you can try gently lifting the edge of the screen protector and reapplying it.
8. Final check:
*Inspect whether the screen protector is fully adhered, if any edges are lifting, and if the screen display is clear.
*Screen Clean Mode will usually automatically disengage after a short period, or you may need to tap a specific button on the screen to unlock it. Once unlocked, use the dry wipe again to clean the screen surface of any potential fingerprints.
#Important Notes:
*Be patient and meticulous during the installation process.
*Try to avoid operating in a dusty environment.
*If you are not satisfied with the initial installation, you can carefully lift the screen protector and reinstall it, but try to avoid lifting it multiple times as it may affect the adhesiveness.
*While "Screen Clean Mode" is enabled, the screen will not respond to touch. Only perform other operations after the installation is complete and the screen is unlocked.
